India has a very old tradition of chemistry. In
ancient vedas, amazing information is available on metals, ores, their
quarries, compounds, and alloys. There are also details of hundreds of
devices used in chemical experiments in ‘Rasayan-Shastra’ which we call
‘chemistry’.
