Here are the details of each of these scholarships:
1. National Overseas Scholarship
Every year, a total of 100 slots are made available under the National Overseas Scholarship, which are further earmarked for different target groups including Scheduled Castes, denotified tribes and semi-nomadic tribes and landless agricultural labourers and traditional artisans.The scholarship can be availed within one year of receipt of intimation from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The following number of slots are earmarked for different target groups:

Eligibility Criteria:
The student should be below the age of 35 years as on 1st April of the selection year.
They should come from a family with income less than Rs. 8,00,000 per annum.
Should be applying for either Masters or PhD courses in any stream of study.
To be able to apply for Masters abroad, one should have completed an undergraduate degree, whereas, the minimum qualification requirement to study a PhD course abroad is a Masters degree.Should have obtained a minimum 60% of marks in the qualifying degree.
