Here is a good news for Indian students who were thinking of online degree programs which save their time and available to their native place.
In 38 universities across India, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved comprehensive online degree programmes. These higher educational institutions are entitled to begin complete online programmes without prior approval of the UGC.
Online Master of Arts (Education) and Master of Arts (Public Administration) programmes will be offered by central universities like Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). Mizoram University will provide four online degree programmes and Jawaharlal Nehru University will offer a Master of Arts in Sanskrit. The University of Jammu will offer online Master of Arts (English) and Master of Commerce programmes.
In recent years, Indians have seen a surge in online courses, bringing one of the most contentious issues in the field of e-learning to the forefront. There are several Indian universities that offer online courses in India, eliminating the disadvantages of classroom-based learning such as location, accessibility, transportation, and cost.

Among private institutions, Narsee Monjee Institute Of Management Studies will offer Bachelor Of Commerce And Bachelor Of Business Administration, and Jain deemed-to-be university will offer seven postgraduate courses, including MA Economics and MA English, along with two undergraduate courses, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business Administration. Bachelor of Business Administration-Finance And Accounts and Bachelor of Science (Honours)-Economics will be conducted by Symbiosis International.
The UGC has granted approval to 15 deemed institutes, 13 state universities, and three central university colleges to provide online degree programmes. The list contains three private universities: OP Jindal Global University, Chandigarh University, and Manipal University.
The UGC had earlier invited applications from higher education institutions interested in offering online programmes.
