Centralized B. Tech Admission Process without Entrance: In many state-based and private B.Tech colleges, B.Tech admissions are not done on any entrance exams. In such college admission is done based on the merit of 10+2. In such colleges, b tech admission is done on the centralized admission process by cutoff decided by the colleges on the basis of application form filled by the students.
For example, Anna University of Tamil Nadu conducts a centralized Btech admission process, which Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions.
Which Is The Best Engineering Entrance Exam For B.Tech Admission?
The best engineering entrance exam depends on the student’s requirements and aspirations. If students want to secure admissions in government institutes such as IITs and NITs and other government-funded technical institutes, they must aim to rank themselves in the JEE Mains/ JEE Advance. But these institutes are located pan India so he must be willing to relocate himself to these institutes.
On the other hand, there are state-level engineering institutes that are for the students that want to remain in their state and pursue technical education. For example, if a student from Uttar Pradesh wants to remain in Uttar Pradesh he must appear in the UPSEE.
There are many private institutes such as BITS, VIT, and SRM University that conduct their own entrance exams to take B.Tech admission. These institutes provide better exposure to students from all over India.
Also, some institutes do not offer the branch of engineering that a student wants so he won’t be applying to that institute entrance exams. Thus from the above analysis, we can conclude that we cannot suggest which is the best engineering exam for a student as every student has a specific requirement and this decision is entirely bound to that only.
How to Apply for B.Tech Course?
If a student wants to apply for a b tech course, he must have a valid entrance exam score (national or state). Thus a student has to apply to the relevant engineering entrance examinations, depending on his requirement and need. Here are some examples related to the application for B.Tech admissions:
- Application in IITs and NITs: To apply in the Btech course of IITs and NITs you have to apply for JEE Main and JEE Advance for IITs. The scorecard of JEE Main is also valid in other institutes as well. After the announcement of the result, students can visit the website and apply for the b tech admissions.
- If the student is willing to join private institutes and universities he can apply for on the official website of that university. The university conducts the exams and the admission process is done separately.
- If a student wants to take admission in state engineering exams he can fill the form for the state engineering entrance exams. After a valid scorecard, the admission process of every state engineering university starts.
